The Repos from Chicago are probably one of the most important bands of the current generation of hardcore/punk. Formed in the early 2000's and broken up in 2008, they released a handful of quality hardcore punk, clearly influenced by Poison Idea, Infest, and Youth of Today (they're last full length before their break up was a cover of the entire 'We're Not In This Alone' LP). The band reformed in 2011 under the moniker The Ropes with all the same members and released a couple more essential demo's/7"s, then changed their name back to The Repos. This self titled LP was released in 2004 on Youth Attack Records and is some highly recommended listening if you haven't heard this band yet.
